“Learning Activity 3.5, Task 4: What do I believe in?

What do I believe in?     For many years, dress codes have been a part of school life in an effort to keep things in order and keep students' attention on their studies. While these rules aim to reduce distractions and uphold discipline, they also have the potential to reinforce negative stereotypes, limit personal expression, and unfairly target specific groups of students. I strongly believe that the way dress codes are typically enforced creates more problems than helps within an academic environment. Rather than encouraging equality and lack of distraction, they tend to cause unnecessary judgment and inequality among the students. In this blog post, I will argue that we truly need to rethink dress codes and try to find some alternative solutions.
